Jordan Granger

Jordon Granger’s time with the Auburn basketball program might have ended, but the senior forward out of St. Louis’ impact extends far beyond the court.

Granger, who was a two-star recruit from McCluer North High School, averaged just under 5 points per game in 2015–16 and pulled down about two rebounds.

He didn’t light up the box score, but the children’s faces he did light up were far more important.

He was named to the SEC Men’s Basketball Community Service Team in March for his efforts in the Auburn-Opelika community, from visiting the East Alabama Medical Center, volunteering with the Jason Dufner Foundation End Child Hunger Initiative or assisting local children with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Lee County.

Granger told AuburnTigers.com’s Jeff Shearer that, following graduation, he hopes to go into the financial industry.

“I want to be a big investment broker,” Granger said. “I want to be a financial professional. Right now, it’s just insurance and savings. Investments will come later. I hope to get my securities license.”

If Granger’s impact in the world of finance comes close to his contributions to the Auburn area, he’ll be just fine.
